Description:
Renown stock and outdoor photographer, Doug Berry, will be teaching Location Lighting, an incredibly comprehensive two-day workshop that will show you lighting techniques for shooting models outdoors. A long time resident of Telluride, Doug, knows the “ins and outs” of the Telluride area. In this workshop, Doug will teach students how to turn any outdoor location into a usable site for a photo shoot by explaining how to use the existing light and mix our strobe lights to create a natural or unnatural look depending on the subject and the style of image you are looking to make. Utilizing multiple outdoor locations with models, hair and make-up artists, Doug will show students how to work with models on location and how to make the best decisions on which locations to use. Represented by some of the most well known stock agencies, Doug will discuss with students his knowledge of what stock agencies look for in stock imagery, and how to incorporate photographing for stock in your portfolio. In addition, he will be discussing how to maximize the time and resources spent shooting in terms of creating stock images.
Students should bring their portfolios, DSLR camera, tripod, laptop and the corresponding digital software and cables to download for critique.
