We are extremely excited to be able to offer such a high caliber of world-renowned outdoor photographers for our first festival. We are offering a four, three, and two-day workshops. Additionally, if you don’t have the budget nor skill level for a full workshop we are offering half-day beginner and intermediate classes as well as full day advanced classes.
Within the workshops, you will spend your time garnering knowledge and techniques that have taken years to perfect. The instructors will interact with you explaining their processes as well as reviewing and exploring your work.
Transportation and lunch will be included. Models and hair/makeup artist fees are not included. In addition, a 20% discount on full, standard and portfolio passes will be extended to all workshop attendees.
The final day of the four and three day workshops will be an optional morning wrap up session. The two-day workshops will not feature a morning wrap up.
4-Day Workshops
Jack Dykinga - Light on the Land
Pulitzer Prize and National Geographic photographer, Jack Dykinga, will share with you the secrets of shooting light on the land. While Jack is known for his desert imagery, he is a master of of light in any landscape.

Bill Ellzey - The Digital SLR, Autumn Photography, Lightroom National Geographic photographer Bill Ellzey taught and directed workshops in Telluride for 11 years. This workshop starts with professional camera handling techniques learned in the field, not from a manual. Next, two full days are nothing but photography in Telluride's most spectacular season. Day 4 is how you'd wrap up any shoot: download; edit; keyword and make adjustments to your photos with Lightroom. When: September 20-23, 2010 Price: $700
3-Day Workshops
Tom Till - Telluride Fall Landscapes
This workshop will have an emphasis on shooting aspens, waterfalls, ghost towns, and snowy peaks. Tom Till is one of America's most published photographers. Over 100,000 of his images have appeared in print since 1977. Tom is out of Moab Utah. While his speciality is southwestern deserts, he has shot some amazing alpine images of the San Juan Mountains over the years.

Robert Glenn Ketchum - Scale And Color In The Landscape
The artist activist, Robert Glenn Ketchum, will take you beyond the mechanics of photography and into the mind's eye. He will show you how to better visualize to create more dramatic and impactful images of the natural world. Geared not just for the fine art photographer, this workshop can aid anyone looking to make better nature photos.

2-Day Workshops
Doug Berry - Location Lighting
Doug Berry is a well-known Telluride Photographer that has been published worldwide. This two-day workshop will show you lighting techniques for shooting models outdoors. Doug uses simple strobe set ups to achieve images with dramatic results. In addition, Doug is represented by some of the well known stock agencies and can impart his knowledge as to what these agencies look for in a stock image.

Advanced and Beginner-Intermediate Classes
Advanced photography one day classes are geared toward people that a full grasp of their camera and its capabilities, but want to extend your knowledge of outdoor photography. The classes will feature a professional photographer instructor that will teach you how to shoot and post process your digital images. The morning session will be spent out in the field. While in the afternoon you will be shown post-processing techniques that the pros use. You will be randomly assigned an instructor. A digital SLR camera and lenses in addition to a laptop computer with an image workflow application like Apple’s Aperture or Adobe’s Lightroom is required to take this class. A tripod and cable release/remote are highly recommended. Classes will be limited to 10 people.

Beginner-Intermediate half-day classes are meant for those that may know how to operate their camera, but want to learn how to shoot well. You will learn tips on how to make your family and vacation shots better. Just about anyone from novice teenager to intermediate senior can participate in this class. A session in the morning and one in the afternoon will be offered. You will be randomly assigned an instructor. A digital SLR camera and lens are required to take this class. A tripod and cable release/remote are highly recommended. Classes will be limited to 10 people.
